Triangle with Bianca A. Smith

UPDATE: This event will be at 5:00pm, instead of 3:00pm as earlier stated. That was a mistake because I am a fool. Love, Jonah.

Catch Olympian author Bianca A. Smith’s event with us at meet.jit.si/orcabooksevents for a discussion of her new book, TRIANGLE, on February 4th at 5:00pm.

Danny Hall, a college professor and environmental activist in Olympia, Washington, is followed by a dark past. In the rapid fall of yet another calamitous turn in her life, she finds refuge in a yoga practice, where she learns how to breathe again. Just as she starts to regain her strength and stability, she realizes that the life she has been living, including her marriage to her adoring husband, must be upended before she will be able to experience the love and happiness she has longed for her entire life.

Bianca Annalisa Smith was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Throughout her life, Bianca recognized the pivotal impacts physical and mental health played in hers and her family's lives. This led her down a path towards leadership in food justice and public health initiatives as a registered dietitian. In her work, Bianca has fought to enhance children's access to healthy food and has helped institutions build healthier environments that promote environmental sustainability and equitable access to educational opportunities. With her writing, Bianca amplifies issues in the LGBTQ+ community, as well as other social justice issues.
