ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join us for an evening with Sam Lohmann and Lindsey Boldt. Sam will be reading from his new chapbook, In a Saint's Ashtray, and Lindsey will read from her novel in progress, Esther Hardy: Dead These Many Years.
Collaboratively conceived and curated by Orca Books Co-op, Desuetude Art Gallery and The 3rd Thing Press, these weekly events are an exercise in creating a culture of necessary alternatives.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Lindsey Boldt is a poet, rune reader, Reiki Master, and plant witch who is obsessed with tracing the thrum that lives inside and under things. She offers rune readings and Reiki sessions through Wyrd Energetics, teaches classes on poetry and oracular practices, and works as managing editor for Nightboat Books. She is the author of Some Ennui (Portable Press, 2019), <(( ))> (Couch Press, 2016), and Overboard (Publication Studio, 2012). Lindsey lives in Olympia, Washington on Squaxin & Nisqually land.
Sam Lohmann grew up in Olympia, currently lives in Vancouver, Washington, and works as a librarian. His pamphlets and books of poetry include In a Saint's Ashtray (The Magnificent Field, 2019) and Stand on this picnic bench and look north (Publication Studio, 2011). He is a co-organizer of the long-running Spare Room reading series in Portland.
