The Best Movie Screenplay Books!
Submitted by Wednesday on Thu, 08/27/2009 - 10:11am.
The best thing to do other then watch a movie, is to find out how the movie was made. Or that's what i think. Especially if the movie of interest is animated; like cartoon animations all the way to realistic animations such as extreme back flips, fast car racing, and having real People look like they turn invisible! I recently discovered that they actually make books with screenplays from diffrent movies! I thought it was exciting! Here are two books I looked through that you should check out:
~Mirrormask~
*By Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean*
I watched this movie before i read the screenplay book and i absolutely loved it.I knew right away by the art they us in the movie that it had something to do with Neil Gaiman. He has a very special way of drawing; very mysterious and intriguing. When i found the screenplay book on the shelves of the book store i was so excited! As i flipped through all the pages, i was memorized and in awe. Not only was the art and photography intesting, but they had drawn out every single scene in the movie. That's a lot of scenes! My favorite character they made in the movie has to be Ginger the sphinx.Be sure to check out the movie as well as the book! they are both wonderful!
~The Matrix~
*By Larry Wachowski*
First off, i have to say that the screenplay book for The Matrix is very large. The book is mostly composed of Graphic Novel Styled drawings. There is no real photography but there is colored and very detailed drawings of movie scenes. At the end of the book, there is a section of script from the movie. I thought that was pretty cool! It's the best way to memorize lines from the movie! Check out The Matrix movie and check out the book to see how the movie came to be!
Note: Some of these Movies are PG-13 and may not be suitable for children under the age of 12.
